redken color extend blondage purple shampoo and conditioner for blondes, mova hair salons, staines and virginia waterYou can now care for your blonde hair at home using the latest purple shampoo and conditioner from Mova Hair Salons in Staines & Virginia Water.

The Redken Color Extend Blondage Shampoo is priced at £15 and the Conditioner available at £16.50.   So now there’s no excuse for brassy blonde hair colour that’s been tarnished by the sun, sea and heating appliances!

Redken’s Color Extend Blondage is formulated with a Triple Acid Protein complex—amino, citric and maleic acids and wheat protein—that neutralise unwanted undertones, strengthen the hair, while battling brassy tones.

Using a purple shampoo and conditioner once or twice a week at home can keep your blonde looking its beautiful best between visits to your favourite Mova hairdressers.

The light purple conditioner helps detangle and smooth processed blonde hair or to condition natural blonde while keeping your color protected and bright.

If you’re a natural blonde or a bleach blonde, we highly recommend you use Blondage as part of your haircare routine.

Why is Purple Shampoo Necessary for Blonde Hair?

purple shampoo for blondesToo much sun, hard water and heat styling can alter your blonde hair colour, whether it’s natural or bleached.   For this reason, purple shampoo is not just for colour-treated blondes – natural blondes need it, too!

If your hair has been coloured in-salon, we also add toners to get rid of the ‘raw blonde’ tones that appear during the colouring process.  That tone might be yellow, yellow-orange or have red tones, and the toner neutralises that to create the perfect blonde you’re after.

In between colour services, your toner is likely to fade and those undertones may appear. That’s why we recommend using a purple shampoo like Redken’s Blondage so you can adjust your hair tone at home!

And anyone jumping on the unicorn hair trend of purples and blues in their hair can also benefit from purple shampoo to help keep violet hues from fading.

Why Does Purple Shampoo Work On Blonde Hair?

It’s the opposite of yellow which means it will help to eliminate the unwanted yellow tones from your hair.

It neutralises the warmth of the brassy tones to give you a cooler tone.

The Redken Blondage comes in a ultra-violet colour and is available as both a shampoo and conditioner from Mova Hair Salons in Staines and Virginia Water.  Ask in salon for more information.

How Often Should I Use Purple Shampoo?

purple shampoo for blondesPurple shampoo should not replace your regular shampoo.

Use it once or twice a week or add some purple shampoo into your regular shampoo to add some of the violet pigment into a regular hair cleansing routine without the risk of overdoing it.

If you use your purple shampoo more than this you risk the chance of your blonde ending up darker.  You want your blonde colour to look bright but not yellow.

So there you  have it!  If you have any other questions about purple shampoo and conditioner, please talk to your Mova stylist who will be happy to help.
