Do I need a skin test?
«New clients or clients who have not had hair colour in 3 months or longer at MOVA, require a skin test 48 hours prior to colour appointment.
Do you offer fringe trims?
«Please don’t D.I.Y! We offer complimentary fringe trims, just call up on the day & we’ll tell you a suitable time to pop in.
Can I upgrade my rough dry?
«Yes! After having your colour done, we recommend upgrading to a blowdry to leave with a professional salon-finish with a stylist, or with our head apprentice for an express blowdry at a reduced price, subject to availability. Otherwise our apprentices are happy to offer a complimentary blast finish.
How can I care for my hair at home?
«Our team are trained in advising to keep your mova hairstyle beautiful at home in between salon visits, with the help of our professional products, available at reception.
What is your cancellation policy?
«We ask for a 48 hour cancellation notice period. This allows us to maximize our appointment availability and avoid our stylists incurring any losses.
Why do you have different stylist levels?
«Our stylists in salon have different levels which reflect their price & experience. All stylists on the shop floor are fully qualified, and you’ll be in safe hands with all! Essentially the higher the level, the longer the time at mova or the higher the qualification.
Do you offer hairdressing apprenticeships?
«Yes! We run a training academy for a 2 year hairdressing apprenticeship, and have an expanding team of stylists & colourists. Speak to management if you’re interested in joining the mova family.
Do you need hair models?
«We run Mova Training Academy at our Staines branch every Monday 09:30 - 17:30, where our apprentices are gaining their NVQ & MOVA diploma. Feel free to enquire how to be a model!
What is VISH?
«A colour system that accurately measures every gram of colour used, eliminating colour waste, giving consistent colour results when seeing a different colourist & customized pricing for every client, enabling us to provide fair pricing for everyone. There is an allocation of colour based on a national average. Pricing will not change within this allocation. However, if you require more colour than that, the additional amount will be added to your bill. This can be if more time has lapsed between your appointments creating a larger root, or highly resistant hair, or thick/long hair
