Had Giuseppe Vaccaro not undertaken a fortnight’s work experience in a local salon aged 15, his career could have taken a very different path: ‘My father was a gardener and I had the option of following in his footsteps. But after my work placement, I just fell in love with hairdressing – and my dad said my hands were more suited to hair work than horticulture!’An apprenticeship in a Surrey salon followed and Giuseppe stayed with the company for three years. He then moved to London to work in a Knightsbridge salon where he learned all he could about hairdressing.Giuseppe's life changed at the age of 22 when an opportunity arose to buy a salon in Staines-Upon-Thames. He joined forces with former colleague Lorenzo Mortellaro and together they realised the dream they had always discussed and opened Mova (an amalgamation of both surnames).  Mova opened its doors in 2002 and Giuseppe has never looked back…A self-confessed family-man who is driven by ambition to make his loved-ones proud, Giuseppe believes that the secret to Mova’s success is its ability to evolve: ‘We never stand still as a company – we’re always keen to learn anything we can, whether it’s a new innovation we can introduce at the salon or a new technique we can bring to a client.’Let's find out a little more about what makes Giuseppe tick with this fun Question & Answer session...Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  I enjoy cutting short hair, restyling hair and cutting with curly hair texture. What do you love about being a hairdresser? I love Mova's atmosphere, and the team and the clients get on so well. We're always referring to ourselves as the Mova family - after all, we spend more time with each other than with our own families! Growing into my roles with Mova has given me such good work ethics, and now being in charge of the social media, marketing and PR makes the job role that much more enjoyable.  I love the contrast of making sure the salon runs smoothly both behind the scenes and interacting with the clients in the salon.Which celebrity would you like to see walk through the salon doors?  Hilary Duff - my childhood idol!
